Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Obali POS and Obali TableKare ("Obali", "the service"), operated by Apex-Meta Solutions of Accra, Ghana ("Apex-Meta", "we"). Creating a shop or using the service means you agree to them. They are written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us at hello@getobali.com.

1. The service
Obali is point-of-sale and business-management software for shops (Obali POS) and restaurants (Obali TableKare) — a till, stock control, receipts, reports, and related tools, built offline-first. The service is currently in early access: it is in active development, features may change, and Obali TableKare is enrolling pilot restaurants. Obali is built for GRA E-VAT receipt requirements but is not certified or endorsed by the Ghana Revenue Authority; you remain responsible for your own tax compliance.
2. Your account and your staff
You must be at least 18 and using Obali for a business. When you create a shop you choose its web address (for example yourshop.myobali.com) and become its owner. Owners create and manage staff accounts (cashiers, managers) and are responsible for what happens under them — keep passwords private, remove staff who leave, and tell us promptly at hello@getobali.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
3. Your data is yours
Everything your business records in Obali — products, prices, sales, stock, customers, invoices — belongs to your business, not to us. We host it, back it up daily, and keep it strictly separated from other businesses' data. You can export your data (CSV exports are built into the product) at any time, and if you close your account we will delete your data after a 30-day grace window, except where the law requires us to keep records longer. How we handle personal data is covered by our Privacy Policy.
4. Our access to your shop
Our support staff can sign in to your shop to help you — for example to reset an owner password or investigate a problem. Support access always appears as a visible "Obali Support" identity, and every support sign-in is logged. We access your shop only to support you, never to browse your business.
5. Fees
Obali is free during early access. When paid plans begin, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before you are charged anything, current pricing will always be published at getobali.com/pricing, and founding shops keep the pricing promised to them. Setup or onboarding services agreed separately (for example for pilot businesses) are invoiced as agreed.
6. Acceptable use
Use Obali only for lawful business. Don't attempt to access another business's data, probe or overload the service, resell it without our agreement, or use it to record transactions you know to be fraudulent. We may suspend accounts that put other customers or the service at risk — where practical we will warn you first.
7. Availability, honestly stated
Obali is built offline-first precisely so your till keeps selling when connectivity fails — sales queue on your device and sync when the connection returns. We work hard to keep the hosted service available, and we take daily backups, but during early access we do not offer a formal uptime guarantee. The service is provided "as is" and "as available".
8. Liability
To the fullest extent Ghanaian law allows, Apex-Meta's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data that you had not synced. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Ending things
You can stop using Obali and close your shop at any time — export your data first, or ask us for a full export. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious breach of these terms. Section 3 (your data) survives either way.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the product grows. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Obali after that means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
